Paul Fisher
Paul Fisher is Group Managing Director of Jockey Club Racecourses and is responsible for the 14 Jockey Club Racecourses which include Aintree, Cheltenham and Epsom , while contributing to the executive management and business strategy of the wider Jockey Club group.
Fisher joined Jockey Club Racecourses in 2000 as Finance Director of its three London racecourses (Epsom Downs, Sandown Park and Kempton Park). He was promoted to Managing Director of Kempton Park in 2005 and set a new direction for the racecourse following the opening of its new all-weather surface.
In 2008, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Jockey Club Racecourses, after leading the company’s successful ‘Project Thames’ efficiency and modernisation programme and promoted to Group Managing Director in 2010 .
Fisher went 'back to the floor' as the Undercover Boss for an episode of Channel 4's hit television documentary series in 2010, which included acting as an entry clerk at Cheltenham Racecourse, ground staff at Carlisle Racecourse, raceday runner at Huntingdon Racecourse, waiter at Sandown Park Racecourse and heathman at Newmarket Training Grounds.
